Balancing Rest and Work at WPI: 

Experiences of First-Generation Students, International Students, and Transfer Students

This project is funded from a DEIJ Grant from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and it investigates student experiences balancing work and rest at WPI. Specifically, this project examines the experiences of three subgroups  first-generation students, international students, and community college transfer students. 

Data were collected from students in the 2022-2023 school year. Students responded to surveys and questionnaires to capture their attitudes and experiences with rest and work, but were also tasked to take a picture or create an image that captured their experience balancing work and rest at WPI.
